Sherwin-Williams’ VinylSafe® Paint Line

There’s an old saying in home exteriors: “Wood is good, but vinyl is final.” That may be true enough, but that doesn’t mean the color of your vinyl siding has to be forever. Sherwin-Williams’ new VinylSafe® exterior paint line has opened up a new world for those who’ve grown tired of their home’s manmade cladding and want to change things up with a bright, new coat of color.

Before this innovative product came along, vinyl siding could be painted, but with strict limitations and dubious results. For one, the new color had to be lighter than the existing color. And what if the siding was already white? In that case, there were no options. But VinylSafe paint is specially formulated to perform on vinyl siding, offering smooth, bright color without causing the substrate to buckle or warp in any way.

Sherwin-Williams makes this innovative paint in a palette of 100 colors – even a few dark selections. It’s available throughout their product line, including the latex formulas Emerald®, Duration®, Resilience®, and SuperPaint® , and their SnapDry™ Door & Trim Paint.
